Chili was born at Horse Gate property on 6/11/06.  He is the foal of Pepper (pictured below) and Blarney.  The dad has deep sentimental value to Horse Gate.  He is an energetic young man with a great personality,  and is a Quater Appalossa.  Chili has great blood lines and is sponsored by Sunset Feed and Supply in Homestead, Florida.

Clu is a four year old registered paint gelding and    is a very social.  Clu likes to think he is a lap dog and tries to get in your lap, despite his size.  He is slowly learning this is not possible.  He is an eye catcher by everyone that visits.  The Johnson family of Jacksonville donated him to help the children and to teach the volunteers english and perhaps to learn the art of jumping.  He is still looking for a sponsor.

Molly is a twenty year old Thoroughbred mare.  Although, she is an elder she enjoys to stretch her legs and sprint across the property.  She is very gentle and a favorite to ride.  She was donated by Tom Wareham of Wareham Construction.  Rob and Mary Scruby of Scruby's BBQ help provide for her needs so she can minister to the children of Horse Gate.

Bugsy is a seven year-old Quarter Horse mare used in the ministry.  Her previous owner no longer had the means to care for her when Glenna Waggoner, the Executive Director of Horse Gate, purchased her in January 2004.  Bugsy enjoys taking hats off the heads of people as they visit our barn, as she seeks attention.  Bugsy's is sponsored by Glenna, the Executive Director of Horse Gate.

Tank is a twenty-one year-old gelding. When he was taken from his owner, he was severely mal-nourished.  Tank is scared due to his severe abuse, therefore resembles his name.  Horse Gate adopted him in May 2005.  Tank was trained, at Horse Gate, by volunteer trainers.  He is now in good health and gentle with the children.  Tank is sponsored by the Cruz's who are not only board members but whos daughter is Tanks trainer.

Tootsie Roll is a sixteen year-old miniature gelding.  He was taken from his owner by the S.P.C.A. due to charges of neglect. Horse Gate adopted him in September 2004.  He is 30 inches tall, loves to be hugged and is very gentle with small children.  Tootsie Roll is looking for a sponsor.

Oliver (brown) & Rascal (spotted) are five year-old miniature donkies.  Oliver was rescued and befriended Rascal, therefore, they were a package deal in September 2005.  They are inseparable and roam the property adding a special tune.  They are sponsored by Epperson Family.

Pepper is a seventeen year-old registered Quarter Horse mare.  Lori and Luther Godowns of Georgia donated her in November 2004.  They were downsizing and desired to donate Pepper to help the youth of South Florida.  She is the mother of Chili, above.  Pepper is still in need of a sponsor.
